Where There is a Need, There is a Lion

When Lions Clubs come together, their shared commitment and enthusiasm create solutions to problems and betterment for communities everywhere. The Connellsville Lions Club's philosophy of compassion and service, locally and internationally, serves as the basis for all their endeavors with the highest standards of integrity.

The World’s Largest Humanitarian Service Club Organization Seeks People Who Serve

The Connellsville Lions Club is part of Lions Club International - a group of over 46,000 clubs and 1.4+ million members. Together, we make up the world’s largest service club organization, as well as one of the most effective. Our members take whatever actions are necessary to aid their neighboring areas.

Wherever we are, we create relationships that serve. The Connellsville Lions Club serves the community. Whether it's with children in need of eyewear, with elderly who don't have enough nourishment or with strangers who may never encounter us, we serve. That's the core focus of every endeavor.

Our Global Initiatives: Causes We Support

Starting out with just one action, a helping hand, an uplifting word, or an offering of generosity, we have the ability to bring light to areas of need. In the last century, Lions and Leos have crossed barriers, oceans, and nations to help. Today, with 1.4 million members, we are capable of making a lasting difference. For that reason, we have joined together to tackle five global challenges. These initiatives bring significant difficulties to humankind, and it's up to us to answer the call.

Diabetes

We are committed to reducing the amount of people suffering from diabetes and enhancing the quality of life of those living with it.

Vision

Our mission is to reduce preventable blindness and enhance the quality of life of those living with blindness and impaired vision.

Hunger

We are dedicated to providing all members of our community with the opportunity to obtain nourishing food.

Environment

Our mission is to conserve and revive our natural surroundings to improve the quality of life for all people.

Childhood Cancer

Leos and Lions strive to make a difference in the lives of children and families facing the challenge of childhood cancer by actively engaging in service activities.
